Marina is not feeling very well this morning. She has a headache and a stuffy nose. She calls her manager and tells her that she is not feeling too well and can’t come to work. She then calls her doctor’s office. The following is the conversation between Marina and the receptionist.

Receptionist: Oakview Clinic, Maggie speaking.

Marina: Hello, this is Marina Sanchez.

Receptionist: Good morning, Marina. How can I help you?

Marina: I would like to make an appointment with Dr. Gordon, please.

Receptionist: What’s wrong?

Marina: I have a headache, my nose is stuffy, and I am feeling really tired.

Receptionist: When did it all start?

Marina: A few days ago; it started with fatigue and a lot of sneezing.

Receptionist: Ok! The doctor can see you today if you can come in at 3:20 this afternoon. Would that work for you?

Marina: Yes, that would be perfect! Thank you!

Receptionist: You are welcome. See you in a few hours.

Marina goes to Dr. Gordon’s office at 3:20 p.m.; she is on time. Dr. Gordon examines her and has a good idea of what the problem is.

Dr. Gordon: You are coming down with a bad cold. I will prescribe some pills, but you will also need to stay in bed as much as possible for a few days. Drink a lot of water and some hot tea.

Martina: OK, doctor! Thank you.
