Refund Policy

This Refund Policy outlines the payment structure, refund eligibility, and enrollment hold options for all programs offered by Genuine Learning Institute including Live ESL Classes, Conversation Classes, and Self-Paced Courses.

By enrolling in any GLI program, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.

  1. Registration Fee (Live Classes Only)

A non-refundable $25 registration fee is required only for students enrolling in the Live ESL Classes (Level 1 or Level 2). This fee covers administrative setup and course onboarding.

No registration fee is required for enrollment in Conversation Classes or Self-Paced Courses.

  1. Live ESL Classes (Level 1 and Level 2)

Payment Structure:

  • Tuition: $270 every 3 months (quarterly)
  • Level 1 Duration: 12 months (4 quarterly payments)
  • Level 2 Duration: 18 months (6 quarterly payments)

Refunds:

  • Only first-time paying students are eligible for a full refund of the $270 tuition if:
    • A written refund request is submitted within 30 days of initial enrollment, AND
    • The student has not completed more than 25% of coursework or attended more than 4 live sessions.

⚠️ The $25 registration fee is non-refundable.
⚠️ Refunds are not available for returning students or those continuing after their first quarter.

  1. Conversation Classes
  • Monthly Tuition: $120 (prepaid)
  • Includes access to weekly, instructor-led conversation sessions

 

Refunds:

  • All payments for conversation classes are non-refundable.
  • Students may discontinue at the end of any paid month with no obligation to continue.
  • No credits or refunds will be issued for missed sessions or absences.
  • No registration fee is required for conversation classes.
  1. Self-Paced ESL Courses
  • One-time payment: [Insert Non-Refundable Amount]
  • Grants access to the full course for the designated period (12 or 18 months)

Refunds:

  • Self-paced course fees are non-refundable.
  • Once access is granted, no refunds will be issued for any reason, including non-use or partial completion.
  • No registration fee is required for self-paced courses.
  1. Enrollment Holds (Live Classes Only)

Students enrolled in Live Classes may request to pause their enrollment in case of:

  • Medical emergencies
  • Family or personal issues
  • Extended travel or other valid circumstances

Hold Guidelines:

  • Requests must be submitted in writing before the next tuition period begins.
  • Access to classes and materials will be paused during the hold.
  • Tuition payments will resume upon the student’s return.

🔹 Enrollment holds do not apply to Conversation or Self-Paced Courses, as these are prepaid and non-refundable.

  1. Discontinuing a Program

Students may discontinue participation in any program at the end of a paid period:

  • Live Classes: Simply stop attending and do not pay for the next quarter.
  • Conversation Classes: Cancel future monthly payments.
  • Self-Paced Course: You retain access until the end of your purchased term.

There are no penalties for non-renewal.

  • Full name
  • Program type (Live Class, Conversation Class, or Self-Paced)
  • Enrollment date
  • Details of the request
